Keno Tactics That Make Money

[ English ]

It may not commonly be seen as the sexiest game in the world of wagering, but keno has millions and millions of zealous supporters. And why not? It’s a consistently entertaining lottery-style game that’s a snap to learn, readily available in tons of alternate styles, and one that can pay out millions for players who master its limitless subtle rules. But let’s start with the beginner’s rules here.

When explaining keno to amateurs, some gambling connoisseurs compare it to bingo. This is at least partly apt, in that both games are basically numerical. However, to carry that comparison too far might be to devalue the great many unique characteristics that make keno so fun. Not like bingo, keno users have the freedom to select the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the player is furnished with an additional degree of personal responsibility by being able to pick as many (or as few) numbers as she feels they need. And it doesn’t take a super genius to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your handpicked numbers with a every day old#2 pencil like you had when you were in third grade.

After you’ve picked your numbers, carry the card back to the girl at the keno stand. The clerk will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Make sure no to lose this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your pretty face and would like to help out, without a winning ticket in hand, you will win precisely $.00 for your winning card.

Ok, there you have strategy number one: always take care to keep your keno receipt. Let’s go on to something a bit more complicated, yes?

Now that you’ve selected your numbers, settle into a nice keno booth and observe the action take place on the video monitor. That is where the winning numbers show up for all to see. If you picked winners, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You must get back to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, and a new keno game will almost certainly start within not too many minutes.

Strategy number 2: always get back to the keno stand on time!

Since you can’t trust yourself to make that 5 minute margin every time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from two to twenty cards. When the maximum amount of rounds (the same as the number of tickets) is finished, you may then get off your numb rump and go redeem your winnings.

Yet another option is known as a "stray and play" keno slip, which normally lets you make number picks for thirty keno rounds or more. Heck, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to worry about getting back in time to collect your winnings. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after it’s bought!

And now you have learned a couple essential strategies for winning keno. If you are an adept player, they might appear to be incredibly obvious. But it does not hurt to bone up on the basics, and if you are a newbie user, every little bit of advice will help make your keno playing time more enjoyable.
