Keno Tactics That Work

It will not commonly be deemed the funnest game in the realm of gaming, but keno has millions and millions of fanatical enthusiasts. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a regularly entertaining lotto-ish game that’s a snap to master, abundantly available in a number of different variations, and one that will return millions of dollars for players who learn its many subtle nuances. But let’s deal with the basic facts here.

When explaining keno to amateurs, some betting experts compare it to the lottery. This is at least nearly apt, in that both games are essentially numerical. However, to take that comparison too far might be to discount the great many unique traits that make keno so entertaining. Not like bingo, keno players have the power to choose the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the user is accord an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to determine as many (or as few) numbers as he or she desires. And it doesn’t take a genius to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your desired numbers with a every day oldmarker like you had when you were in school.

Once you have checked your numbers, take the game card back to the keno pit manager at the keno booth. The person will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not misplace this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and would like to help out, without a winning receipt in hand, you will get precisely $.00 for your actions.

OK, so there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno slip. Let us get on to something a bit more advanced, what do you think?

Once you’ve picked your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and see the action take place on the monitor. This is where the winning numbers show up for all to see. If you have winners, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to drag your feet, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You want to get up to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, and then a new keno game will probably begin within 5 minutes.

Strategy number two: always get back to the keno stand on time!

Since you don’t trust yourself to make that 5 minute margin every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty tickets. When the maximum number of rounds (matching the amount of tickets) is completed, you can then get off your lazy back side and go get your winnings.

Another alternative is recognized as a "stray and play" keno card, which usually lets you make number picks for thirty keno games or more. Hell, you can take vacation to France and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after purchase!

And now you have learned a couple of indispensable techniques for winning keno. If you are a knowledgeable keno player, they may seem quite obvious. Still, it does not hurt to study up on the basic techniques, and if you are a beginner keno player, every tiny bit of advice will help make your keno playing time more fun.
