It might not often be thought of as the funnest game in the world of gaming, but keno has massive amounts of devoted fans. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a constantly entertaining lotto-style game that’s easy to learn, readily available in lots of assorted styles, and one that can return millions for players who master its uncounted subtle intricacies. But let’s start with the basics for now.
When explaining keno to beginners, some wagering pros compare it to the lottery. This is at least tolerably correct, in that each game is basically numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far will be to detract from the many unique traits that make keno so compelling. Not like bingo, keno players have the ability to select the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the player is accord an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as many (or as few) numbers as she desires. And it doesn’t take a keno superstar to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your picked numbers with a ordinarymarker like you used when you were a kid.
Now that you’ve checked your numbers, take the card back to the girl at the keno stand. The nice person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Make sure no to drop this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers you and wants help out, without a winning ticket with you, you will be given precisely $.00 for your actions.
Ok, there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s move to something a little more complicated, ok?
Now that you’ve selected your numbers, get into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action take place on the monitor. That is where the winning numbers appear for us. If you have winning numbers, mark your card aptly. Be sure not to take your time, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You are required to get up to the keno stand to get your winnings, as a new drawing will probably get going within 5 minutes.
Strategy number two: always get back to the keno stand on time!
Since you don’t trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline every time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to twenty tickets. When the maximum number of rounds (the same as the amount of tickets) is completed, you are then able to get off your numb bum and go collect your winnings.
Another opportunity is recognized as a "stray and play" keno card, which generally lets you make number choices for thirty keno games or more. Golly, you can take all the time in the world and not have to fret about getting back in time to get your winnings. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after purchase!
And now you know several needed methods for winning keno. If you are an adept keno player, they may seem stupidly obvious. Still, it does not hurt to bone up on the basics, and if you are a novice user, every little bit of direction will help make your keno wagering more entertaining.
