Keno Tactics That Work

[ English ]

It will not commonly be considered the funnest game in the universe of gambling, but keno has massive amounts of steadfast supporters. And it ought to! It’s a consistently exciting lotto-ish game that’s simple to master, abundantly available in many different formats, and one that may pay out mega-dollars for those who master its innumerable subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the beginner’s rules for now.

When describing keno to newbies, some betting connoisseurs compare it to lotto. This is at least partly apt, in that both games are basically numerical. But to carry that comparison too far is likely to be to miscalculate the great many unique aspect that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the power to select the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the user is granted an increased level of personal responsibility by being able to pick as many (or as few) numbers as he thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your picked numbers with a ordinary#2 pencil like you used when you were in third grade.

Once you have checked your numbers, carry your card back to the person at the keno stand. The person will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t drop this (potentially) expensive piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your loud shirt and would like to help out, without a winning ticket in hand, you will collect exactly $.00 for your efforts.

So, there you have strategy #1: always make sure to keep your keno ticket. Let us go on to something a little more complicated, ok?

After you’ve selected your numbers, settle into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action unfold on the big keno monitor. That is where the winning numbers are displayed in lights. If you’ve got winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Make sure not to take too much time, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You really want to get back to the keno stand to collect your winnings, since a new round of keno will almost certainly get going within a few minutes.

Strategy #2: always get back to the keno booth on time!

Assuming you can’t trust yourself to beat that five-minute margin every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 slips. When the maximum amount of keno games (matching the amount of tickets) is finished, you will then be able to get off your numb rump and go redeem your winnings.

Yet an additional option is recognized as a "stray and play" keno card, which generally lets you make number choices for 30 keno games or more. Gosh, you can take all the time in the world and not have to worry about getting back in time to collect your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after you by it!

And now you are aware of a few essential techniques for winning keno. If you are an experienced player, they may seem to be very obvious. Still, it will not hurt to brush up on the basic strategies, and if you are a beginner user, every little bit of advice will help make your keno wagering more agreeable.
