Keno Methods That Win

[ English ]

It won’t generally be seen as the funnest game in the realm of betting, but keno has massive amounts of dedicated fans. And why not? It’s a constantly thrilling lottery-esque game that’s uncomplicated to pickup, readily available in a number of alternate variations, and one that will pay out millions for those who learn its endless subtle nuances. But let’s start with the basic facts for now.

When explaining keno to beginners, some gaming pros compare it to the lottery. This is at least partially apt, in that each game is basically numerical. But to take that comparison too far would be to undervalue the countless unique aspect that make keno so compelling. Not like bingo, keno players have the freedom to pick the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is granted an increased degree of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as numerous (or as few) numbers as he thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your selected numbers with a normalball point pen like you had when you were in school.

Once you have checked your numbers, carry your keno card back to the keno pit manager at the keno booth. The person will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not drop this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your face and would like to help out, without a winning slip in hand, you will get exactly $.00 for your winning card.

And there you have strategy number one: always make sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s move to something a little bit more complicated, yes?

Once you’ve checked off your numbers, get yourself into a comfy keno booth and see the action unfold on the video monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are shown in lights. If you selected winners, mark your card accordingly. Make sure not to drag your feet, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You want to get back to the keno booth to collect your winnings, and then a new round of keno will surely get going within not too many minutes.

Strategy number two: always make it back to the keno booth on time!

Since you do not trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline each time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty slips. When the maximum number of keno games (fitting the number of tickets) is played, you should then get off your numb bum and go get your winnings.

Another choice is known as a "stray and play" keno card, which normally lets you make number choices for thirty keno rounds or more. Heck, you can take a Swedish massage and not have to worry about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after purchase!

So now you have learned a few necessary strategies for winning keno. If you are an experienced keno player, they might seem to be stupidly obvious. However, it doesn’t hurt to brush up on the fundamentals, and if you are a newbie keno player, every tiny bit of direction will help make your keno playing more fun.
