It might not often be looked at as the sexiest game in the realm of betting, but keno has tons of dedicated followers. And so it should! It’s a regularly thrilling lotto-style game that’s easy to pickup, readily available in a number of alternate formats, and one that might return mega-dollars for players who master its innumerable subtle nuances. But let’s deal with the basic facts here.
When explaining keno to newbies, some gambling masters compare it to the lottery. This is at least in some measure correct, in that each game is essentially numerical. But to carry that comparison too far would be to devalue the good many unique characteristics that make keno so exciting. Not like bingo, keno players have the power to choose the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the gambler is furnished with an increased degree of personal responsibility by being able to choose as numerous (or as few) numbers as she needs. And it doesn’t take a keno superstar to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your chosen numbers with a ordinarymarker like you had back in the day.
Now that you’ve picked your numbers, carry the game card back to the clerk at the keno stand. The keno pit manager will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) valuable bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and would like to help out, without a winning ticket in hand, you will collect precisely $.00 for your time spent.
So, there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno ticket. Let’s advance to something a little more complex, ok?
Once you’ve picked your numbers, get yourself into a comfy keno booth and observe the action take place on the big keno monitor. That’s where the winning numbers show up in lights. If you checked winners, mark your card aptly. Make sure not to move to slowly, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You are required to get back to the keno stand to get your winnings, and then a new keno game will certainly begin within five minutes.
Strategy number 2: always be sure to get back to the keno booth on time!
Assuming you do not trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline each and every time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 cards. When the maximum amount of rounds (the same as the number of tickets) is completed, you can then get off your lazy back side and go get your winnings.
Still another alternative is referred to as a "stray and play" keno slip, which commonly allows you make number selection for 30 rounds or more. Heck, you can take vacation to France and not have to worry about getting back in time to collect your winnings. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after you by it!
And now you have learned several required techniques for winning keno. If you are a knowledgeable keno player, they may seem to be incredibly obvious. Still, it does not hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a novice user, every bit of advice will help make your keno playing more agreeable.
